“It is a shame because in some occasions and with a bit of luck we could ahve done better” That is how Luca Moretti comments on the 1st match of the TIM CUP 2008 quarter finals. The home team, 2 sets behind, manages a come back but Chiovini’s men better digging brings them to victoy at tie break, even if Loreto was not bad from that point of view.
“Playing against Isernia is difficult to start with and going there for the second leg is not going to be an easy task but we will try and go for it – continues coach Moretti – these days we always have someone missing and in order to win we need to recover Salgado asap because the two middle blockers playing at the moment are finding it hard and a replacement would have been useful to let them rest”.
“Based on the last few matches you would expect certain things fom certain players but they are all human beings and they do not always manage to keep a high level all the time. I am happy though because the match was turned around by the bench with Massimo Gatto and Rafa, I am happy because some of them have given me the answers I was waitning fotr, but some haven’t yet. We need to be patient now and get ready for the next match”.
The coach talks about the next appointment at PalaSerenelli this sunday at 18.00 against Premier Hotels Crema in the Championship.
“All our attention is now on the match against Crema which will not be decisive but very important for our situation and our morale. We need a positive result for a home victory and most of all, given the championship’s balance, we need it to get away from the last 5 as much as possible”.
