After the long journey back from Vibo Valentia where Esse-ti Carilo has found their second consecutive victory against the current leader, Moretti’s team is now preparing for the Italian Cup first leg match taking place tomorrow at PalaSerenelli at 20.30 against Olio Pignatelli Isernia.
The captain wants to spur his team mates to give their best against Isernia to go through to the TIM CUP Final Four and arrive on sunday against Crema with a different spirit, mostly a positive one.
“The defeat against Vibo Valentia has left us a bit bitter because we fought as we should have especially in the first 3 sets, managing to win the third one and reopening the match; in the first two sets we could have certailnly done better but we gave some balls away at the end and we did not take advantage of the fact we were ahead twice in the second one.
Against teams like Vibo we cannot afford to give anything away. That is why it is a shame to go home with no points because it could have gone to tie break and we could have won such a difficult away match”.
“Our aim now is wednesday’s match because both us, the Club and our supporters too are eager to go through to the Final Four. We need to play it and use it to change our situation looking at the next championship’s match against Crema on sunday”.
