Two sets down, Chiovini’s men, thanks to young Gemmi coming on, reopen the match forcing Vibo to tie break
We all knew it would have been an emotional match, we all imagined a tie break and two hours of game, but we could not imagine that Olio Pignatelli Isernia-Tonno Callipo Vivo Valentia would have been a match with two faces.
The first two sets seem in favour of the guest team, third and fourth fractions signed by Olio Pignatelli’s determination bringing balance to the match leaving it all to tie break, where Travica’s men managed to close it.
So, a lot happening and a lot of emotions difficult to describe.
Surely the clearest clue was the attitude of a young team, that two sets behind, is able to get back in the game and has the mind to set the match straight when it looked they were falling in the opponents’ hands from the beginning.
At the end of the match, a bit of regret for Olio Pignatelli for how the first set was managed, but great satisfaction for the reaction the team had aloowing them to grab one point from a team full of experienced players. A head to head good for the morale and for a standings that looks tighter and tighter and full of surprises, starting from Catania’s home defeat against Mantova, Isernia’s next opponent.
