Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari: Before the beginning of the match, the two capitains, Andrea Sala & Vladimir Grbic, did read a message of mourning for the police inspector Filippo Raciti, and observed one minute of silence before the beginning of the match.
The home teams played without: Suxho & Jeroncic out for the flu and Gavotto not at 100%. Velasco decided to start the match wtih Tiberti setter, opposite Perazzolo and Forni middleblocker.
Montichiari starts really well the first set and stay in advantage for the whole set closed by Gabeco with the score of 25-20.
Good start for Acqua Paradiso in the second set. At the second time out Montichiari is ahead 16-12. Then nine consecutive points for Montichiari and set in their hands with the score of 25-12.
In the third set Latina shows a reaction of pride, for the first time in the match, and goes ahead for the first time in the score. At the second timeout Latina is ahead 10-16. Despite Lorenzo Bernardi, at his debut at the PalaGeorge, Latina does not give up and at the end closes the third set 19-25.
Fourth set seems like the first two, with Montichiari back in the lead. The “Velasco Band” closes the set 25-16, and wins the match. Now Montichiari has now 29 points in the standing.
