Maggiora Latina: With one round to go before the end of the first part of the season, Serie A1 TIM championship sees Cuneo, Piacenza, Roma and Treviso already at the TIM Cup A1 Final Eight (Bassano del Grappa, 28 February and 1 Martch). Already out Macerata, Padova, Vibo Valentia and Verona. For the last 4 spots 6 team are still fighting: Latina, Modena, Montichiari, Taranto, Perugia and Trento.
Maggiora Latina, that in Trento got a very important victory is still running for one of the spots available and will play a very important match next Sunday at the Palabianchini against Modena.
“We are almost there… now we need the last effort to get through!” Young middleblocker Novica Bjelica declared – We need to play against Modena like we did in Trento. In the court my teammates and me never lost hte hope to win even if when the opponents looked like they already had the set or the match. We won a good match becacuse everyone played well and we have been a “team” from the beginning to the end. We are a young team but with attitude and spirit. Next Sunday we have the advantage of playing in front of our crowd and we can’t make any mistake.”
