Cucine Lube Civitanova lost a game at home after 19 consecutive wins on Eurosuole Forum, but clinched the access to PlayOffs 6 for the second year in a row, by winning the first two sets of the game versus PGE Skra Belchatow, enough to reach the next round of the tournament. After the two sets coach Gianlorenzo Blengini put on courth the players from the bench.
Azimut Modena grabbed a great home win at PalaPanini on Asseco Resovia Rzezsow, a 3-1 win which doubled the tie break win in Game 1 in Poland, clinching a PlayOff 6 spot, reaching this goal after missing it last season, eliminated by Halkbank Ankara, who played last season with Modena players Dragan Travica e Kevin Le Roux.
In the other games, Dinamo Moscow eliminated Izmir, Belogorie Belgorod eliminated Fefè De Giorgi Kedzierzyn-Kozle, and Zenit Kazan defeated easily Roeselare. In Berlin the home team tied Game 1 result and qualified by winning in Golden Set.
Champions League Italian Clash
In PlayOffs 6 Cucine Lube Civitanova and Azimut Modena will face each other once again. These two rival teams are actually facing each other in Unipolsai Superleague Semifinals. They will play PlayOff 6 Game 1 in Modena 4th/6th april, playing Game 2 next week in Civitanova. The winner of this series will clinch the Champions League Final Four spot next 29th and 30th april in Roma at PalaLottomatica, facing the hosting team Sir Sicoma Colussi Perugia.
