Revivre Milano will play at PalaYamamay in Busto Arsizio for the second time in a row, trying to give continuity to its tournament after the tie break win versus Sora. Milano is still in last place of the standings, but Luca Monti’s team had some life signals in sunday’s game. They will play versus a team in good shape, Fabio Soli’s Bunge Ravenna, a team in the hunt for the playoffs, who is running a three games winning streak. Ninth place in the standings for Ravenna, looking to reach the top eight.
After clinching the CEV Cup quarterfinals with the win over finn VaLePa Sastamala, quarterfinals where they will face Lpr Piacenza in an italian derby, Diatec Trentino will face Azimut Modena at PalaTrento, a team who’s found once again the way to win under brand new coach Tubertini. Five wins in a row for the defending champs last wednesday in Champions League over PGE Skra Belchatow at PalaPanini. Modena is in third place in Unipolsai Superleague standings, down by three points from Trento. In the previous matches in Serie A, 37 wins for Trento, 28 for Modena. Maxwell Philip Holt will not play because of a sprained ankle.
Calzedonia Verona will host the leader of the standings Cucine Lube Civitanova at Agsm Forum, in a great showdown of the League, a clash between two powerhouses of the tournament. Nikola Grbic extended his contract with Verona for three more seasons, so everything seems to be set for a bright future, in Verona. In the first game of the season, in Civitanova, Calzedonia lost clearly 3-0. On the other hand Lube is in a great shape, fresh Del Monte Italian Cup winners, still undefeated in 2017, coming from a road Champions League win in Czech Republic versus Dukla Liberec, Civitanova will face in Verona three former players, Luigi Randazzo, Andrea Giovi and Michele Baranowicz.
LPR Piacenza needs to play with the same intensity and energy they play in CEV Cup. Alberto Giuliani’s team eliminated Vojvodina Ns Seme Novi Sad in the eighth finals of CEV Cup, with a double 3-0, in Piacenza and in Serbia. Lpr clinched the CEV Cup quarterfinals, where they play Diatec Trentino, in a great italian derby. Piacenza will face Kioene Padova, in a game which see Piacenza favourite. But as we know, never say never in Volleyball, Kioene Padova has some good individualities who can put in trouble every team of the tournament.
It’s pay back time for Exprivia Molfetta versus Gi Group Monza. In fact the team from Puglia lost the first game of the season 3-1 in Monza. Molfetta is trying to reach the eighth place, the last good for the playoffs, but will not be easy. In last Unipolsai Superleague game Exprivia lost 3-1 in Modena versus the defending Champs.
Biosì Indexa Sora will face Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia in front of the home fans, after they won the first game of the season at PalaValentia at the tie break. In last season Serie A2 this game between Sora and Vibo was a Classic, they were the two best teams of the tournament, and they showed it, clinching the Unipolsai Superleague spot. Afterthe win in molfetta, Sora lost versus Latina and Milano, and now needs to be back on track, to avoid the second to last place in the standings. Tonno Callipo will play maybe the most important game of the season. Waldo Kantor’s team needs a win, continuing the hunt for the post season. They lost in piacenza and versus Verona, and now for them the situation is a bit more complicated.
Top Volley Latina is playing some good volleyball in this second part of the season. Will not be an easy game, the next one, for Daniele Bagnoli’s team. Latina will face Sir Safety Conad Perugia, facing former players became superstars as Luciano De Cecco and Ivan Zaytsev. Perugia suffered a tie break loss in Champions League, in Belgium versus Knack Roeselare, but without De Cecco, Atanasijevic and Zaytsev. Will be difficoult for home team Top Volley Latina to grab a win versus powerhouse Erugia, but with the help of the warm audience of Latina, something amazing can happens, for the home team.

Sigma Aversa still winless. They lost versus Civita Castellana and Mondovì, winning only one set in two games. They need to step up in this key moment of the season, where they will face at home Caloni Agnelli Bergamo, in sixth place with 16 points. Bergamo is coming from a good home win versus Kemal Lamipel Santa Croce. Gianluca Graziosi’s team is growing up game after game, confirming their good shape.
Emma Villas Siena had some troubles in Viterbo, losing the 2nd round of Pool Promozione. A bad loss which costed to Paolo Tofoli’s team the leadership in the standings in favour of Monini Spoleto. To come back on thrack Siena needs to defeat VBC Mondovì, as they did in the Del Monte Italian Cup Serie A2 quarterfinals. This game will be the fourth between these two teams, and Mondovì won only one time. Faborni will be on court, the suspension has been communted into a fine.
Maury’s Italiana Assicurazioni Tuscania is still winless in this Pool Promozione. Pool Promozione last place team Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, at the bottom of the standings with 6 points, a team who suffered a clear loss on yesterday in Bergamo versus Caloni Agnelli, will face leader of the standings Monini Spoleto one of strongest teams in this part of the season. Spoleto won on the road at the tie break versus BCC Castellana Grotte, and on the home turf versus Tuscania. Monini is the favourite of the game, but never say never, in volleyball.
BCC Castellana Grotte tied Emma Villas Siena at 20 points, thanks to the 4 points earned in first two rounds of Pool Promozione. In this 3rd round the tea from Puglia will face Ceramica Globo Civita Castellana, in fifith place at 16 points, and running a good moment in the Pool, after the wins on sigma Aversa and Emmas Villas Siena.

Veteran Matej Cernic needs 1 point to reach 3500 points in the Tournament.
Centrale del Latte McDonald’s Brescia grabbed one point in the tie break loss in Civitanova versus GodenPlast Potenza Picena at Eurosuole Forum. Brescia now stands at 18 points in second place in the Pool Salvezza standings. Centrale del Latte will face third place Sieco Service Ortona, finding on the other side of the net veteran Cisolla. Ortona is running a good trend versus Brescia, 4 wins in 4 games, so they will look to overcome Brescia in the standings.
Sol Lucernari Montecchio, second to last in Pool Salvezza standings, absolutely needs to win this key match versus Club Italia Crai Roma, in last place with only 2 points.
