After two weeks Cucine Lube Civitanova and Diatec Trentino face each other again, after the big final of the Del Monte Italian Cup. And also on today in Unipolsai Superleague regular season, Chicco Blengini’s team grabbed the win, a more clear win than the Italian Cup final. It was a fast 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-15) in front of a sold out Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche. With this win Lube secured the first place in regular season, having the advantage of the court in all the playoffs’ series.This was the 16th win in a row for the Italian Cup chanps, undefeated at home in this season (15 wins) and in 2017. This win was a great win, with authority, determination, technical skill and confidence. The real balance of the game was until 20-20 in the first set, then Lube took the complete control of the game, by winning the first set 25-21. Sice that moment, Diatec Trentino collapsed, Lorenzetti tried to change something, putting on the court Oleg Antonov in place of Filippo Lanza, but the display of power on the court was clear. Lorenzetti tried again putting on the court Nelli and Solè, but nothing changed, the Lube perfect machine made no discounts, a clear and deserved 3-0 win for Civitanova, with Osmany Juantorena MVP of the game, 14 total points with 67% in attack, 79% in reception on 19, 3 aces and 1 block.

Bunge defeated clearly 3-0 LPR,earning the third win in a row at home, versus a good opponent in front of them in the standings. It was an almost perfect game for Ravenna, in the lead since the start, with Piacenza in a bad day. With this win Coach Soli’s team reached Tonno Callipo Calabira Vibo Valentia in eighth place together with Top Volley Latina.
First set is a domination for Bunge, taking an important advantage thanks to Torres, good in the fundamental of serve, and future MVP Fabio Ricci.
Also in the second is Ravenna to take the lead, because of some bad mistakes from Piacenza, especially from Simone Parodi and Raydel Hirrezuelo. In the third Lpr is not able to step up and come back, suffering a good start from Bunge, in front 8-1 early in the third. But thanks to Trevor Clavenot, Fernando Hernandez and Samuele Papi Piacenza was able to come back until 20-21, down only one point. But with two quicks from Elia Bossi Ravenna closed the match on 25-21.

It was an easy night for Top Volley Latina, who grabbed three points at Kioene Arena in a little bit more than one hour. The team from Lazio was good and complete in defence, while Padova fell in pieces after the first set, giving to Latina the chance to an easy win.
A good start for Padova was the only good moment for Padova, in front 6-3, then, only Top Volley Latina on the court. A good turn in the serve for veteran italian national team setter Daniele Sottile gave to Latina a 22-16 advantage, and despite the aces of
Maar and Averill, who drove Padove into a come back, Latina won the first set 25-22. che mettono un po’ di pepe sul rush finale, è Fei a chiudere con la diagonale del 22-25.
The second set started balanced, but in the middle Latine put on court a couple of important breaks thanks to veteran opposite Alessandro Fei, so Daniele Bagnoli’s team took home also the second 25-19. In the third it was an easy one for Latina, starting 9-1 and winning 25-15 set and game in 68 minutes.

It was a sold out PalaPanini for this game between Azimut Modena and Exprivia Molfetta. Tubertini played with Orduna-Vettori, Le Roux-Holt in the middle, Ngapeth-Petric spikers and obviously Rossini libero. Molfetta played with Thiaguinho-Sabbi, Joao Rafael-Olteanu spikers, Polo-Vitelli in the middle, and libero De Pandis.
Good start for Molfetta on 11-14, thanks to a couple of good turns in serve, Modena fought back and won the first set 25-23. In the second it was payback time, Exprivia reacted, and grabbed the win 25-23 in the second, earning the tie. Good start for Modena in the third, taking a good advantage and winning the set 25-17. Fourth was balanced until the crunch time, where Modena, thanks to his top class players, earned the win in the set and in the match, witha score of 25-22.

Good win for Calzedonia Verona at Pala Valentia defeating Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia with a strong 3-0. Good personality and authority for Nikola Grbic’s team, who dominated the game in first two sets. Waldo Kantor’s team was arriving from a road match in Piacenza on thursday, and porbably was a little bit tired. In the third Vibo fought back, in the end Tonno Callipo killed five match points to Verona, losing the set 32-30. It was a very funny and exciting game in the third, whil in the first and second, Calzedonia showed its strength, closing both the partials with authority.
MVP was serbian Uros Kovacevic, a great game for former Modena Volley, 16 points with 54% in attack.

Sir Safety Conad Perugia earned an important 3-1 win on the home turf versus Gi Group Monza, and grabbing the tie in the second place of the Unipolsai Superleague standings with Trento.
It was a tough game for Lorenzo Bernardi’s team, who started without Ivan Zaytsev and Marko Podrascanin. Monza had a good start thanks to brasilian opposite Vissotto and to belgian middle blocker Verhees, arriving at third set in front 20-13, with the game tied at one in the count of the sets. From that moment, Perugia fought back, thanks to the attacks of austrian Alexander Berger, killing three set points to the opponents, and finally taking home the set with a Block of Luciano De Cecco (MVP of the game) and an ace of Aaron Russell.
In fourth set Gi Group collapsed, and Alexander Atanasijevic was the owner of the set, concluding the game on 25-14 in favour of the home team.

Revivre Milano found the win number 4 of the season, in an emotional tie break win versus Biosì Indexa Sora, in a long game, 2 hours and 14 minutes. . Milano took a 2-0 lead in the count of the sets, with a great performance by the trio Skrimov-Adamajtis-Hoag, all in a good night. But in the third, with Tiozzo in place of Rosso (hit by a ball), Sora stepped up, while Milano lost Skromov for cramps, and Biosì came back winning the third partial. In fourth Sora dominated, forced to the tie break the game. Revivre stepped up and reacted, also thanks to Nielsen, who stepped on the court in the tie break, scoring 5 points, and driving Milano to a heartbeat final win 17-15. 26 points for the MVP Pawel Adamajtis, 22 for Hoag for Milano. Sora had a great Miskevic as usual (27 points).

We stayed in the game for three sets, then we lost Skrimov and we suffered this, especially in the fourth. Then we stepped up in the tie break, playing as a team. We suffered in the serve, but we showed that also with defence we can win a game”.
Nicola Tiozzo (Biosì Indexa Sora): “It’s never easy to come back down two sets to nothing. It was tough. We did it with patience, taking Milano to the tie break, but we had a slow start in the fifth, and we weren’t able to come back.
