After the clear 3-0 on Ravenna, the fresh winners of Del Monte® Italian Cup will have the first place in season with a win on Diatec Trentino, second in the standings and determined to react after the 3-1 loss suffered by Lube in the Italian Cup final. In the previous matches Trento is in front of Lube, 30 wins for Trento and 22 for Civitanova.
Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia wants to back to win after the 3-1 loss suffered last thursday in Piacenza versus Lpr at PalaBanca, and will face at PalaValentia Calzedonia Verona, who wants to forget the loss in Trento versu Diatec, after six win in a row.
Azimut Modena, after Del Monte® Supercup winner coach Roberto Piazza part ways from the team, said hi also to american Spiker Brian Cook. With Lorenzo Tubertini on the bench, Modena defeated at the tie break Gi Group Monza, in a come back win. Modena will play versus Exprivia Molfetta, defeated 5 times in 7 total games. Molfetta lost on the home turf versus Perugia, so the team from Puglia need to reverse this trend, trying to grab some points versus the defending Champs, to improve its standings, now in eleventh place.
Kioene Padova finally got a win versus Milano, last wednesday at Kioene Arena. With this win Padova passed Sora in the standings. Padova will face Top Volley Latina up five points in the standings, looking to extende its advantage in this weekend. 12 wins for Latina and 9 for Padova in the previous matches.
At PalaEvangelisti Sir Safety Conad Perugia will try to profite of the game between Cucine Lube Civitanova and Diatec Trentino, trying to grab some points in the game versus Gi Group Monza. Will be difficoult for Perugia to aim to first place, but if Lube will win versus Trento, the Block Devils could challenge for the second place in regular season, good for the playoff bracket. Monza is good versus powerhouses, as they showed last wednesday in the game versus Modena. In the first game of the season Perugia won 3-0 on the road in Monza.
Bunge Ravenna lost clearly from Lube in wednesday’s game, but coach Soli saw some life signals in his team’s performance. The last set versus Lube showed that Ravenna can be able to compete, versus everybody. Ravenna will play versus LPR Piacenza in an Emilia-Romagna derby. In the previous matches between Ravenna and Piacenza, 7 wins for Piacenza and 5 for Ravenna. The target of Piacenza in this last part of the regular season, is to come back on Calzedonia Verona in the standings, in fifth place, far 6 points.
Revivre Milano needs to come back to win, trying again after the loss last wednesday verusu Kioene Padova. Luca Monti’s team will try to defeat Biosì Indexa Sora, defeated in last round by Top Volley Latina in the Lazio’s derby, in the challenge between Bagnoli brothers.
