The Friday night game is back with an exciting one between a giant of Italian volleyball, Trentino, and a newly promoted team who is making a name for itself, Sora.
Not only will Trento be home but they benefited from a whole week of training given that they will enter the cup only in January in the quarter-finals. Trentino, who won the first meeting this season, is coming off a tie-break loss in Vibo Valentia and will be eager to bounce back. As for Sora, they were defeated last week in three sets by the Italian Champions of Modena but they got right back on track with a superb Cup win on the road against Verona in the 8th of finals yesterday.

But we don’t want to talk too much of a change of direction because that would mean we think too much about last Sunday’s loss in Vibo. We just want to focus on our next encounter and play a good game to get the victory ».
Maurizio Colucci (Assistant coach Biosì Indexa Sora): “This will be a very tough game. This is one of the top teams in Italy and not only. This is in my opinion the team that plays the best volleyball. They have excellent players both on court and on the bench, they’re solid in reception, they have top spikers, including from the serve. They’re coming off this loss in Vibo at the tie-break and they did not play the Italian Cup 8th of finals so they’ll be well ready for this one. After an under-par game against Modena, though we had some excuses, we beat Verona. We’re up for it, I expect a real battle in which my boys will give their best. Then we’ll just wait and see what happens. Our job will be to try to do better than in the first game, and to do so we need a better reception, more consistency on the serve and vary our game in attack ».
