SuperLega UnipolSai
Round 5 postponed game Thursday

Great evening of Volleyball on Thursday in the PalaBanca Arena as Piacenza plays host to Trentino in a postponed game of Round 5.

Piacenza is one of the most in-form teams in the league thanks to six wins in seven games. They stumbled just once of late in Vibo Valentia, while they had an exemplary outing against Ravenna last Sunday, moving to sixth in the league with Papi MVP. As for Trento, this is the only unbeaten team in the tournament. Lorenzetti’s men are top of the standings thanks to their victory over Civitanova last weekend. A win would help them build a gap on Civitanova.

LPR Piacenza – Diatec Trentino

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 48 (31-17 trento)

Leonel Marshall (LPR Piacenza): “Trento is currently the most in-form team in the league. This will definitely be a tough game, in any way you look at it. We’re ready for anything, and a defeat would not influence our standing. We will have the fans on our side. We have lost only one game at home, against Perugia, so playing in our gym is an important factor. We will play with our minds and with our hearts ».

Jan Stokr (Diatec Trentino): “For those like me, who played in the League final 2013, the game against Piacenza is always special. This will be my first time against Piacenza since I came back in Trento. This is a difficult game, it’s always hard there. They are in good shape, but we want to keep our winning streak going and put more points on board ».
