The first day of the Volley Market ended with a record of appearances and signings in the 14 SuperLega clubs and 20 of the Serie A2. Some of the SuperLega teams have already completed their roster like Modena and Perugia. The same thing can be said in the A2 for Service Ortona, Centrale del Latte McDonlad’s Brescia, Emma Villas Siena, Pool Libertas Cantù and VBC Mondovì.
In the afternoon, there was a meeting between the National Referee Department of the Federation and coaches and managers of Serie A clubs. Coordinator Domenico De Lica and commissioner Giuseppe Caldarola analysed the 2015-16 season and introduced the new fixtures for the coming exercise.
All the present members went over the Video Check regulations; questions from the coaches were answered, while the quality of the Italian referees was underlined. Indeed, Italy is the only nation with 10 referees in CEV’s two top groups. This is the only country with Brazil to count 7 FIVB referees.
Coaches and Serie A representatives also took part in the presentation carried out by Moxoff “Match&Sport: innovative fixtures in the world of volleyball”.
The Volley Market continues on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21, when the fixture lists will be revealed.
