The Italian Volleyball League Board of Directors took note of the request from Vibo Valentia to have a license for the SuperLega UniposlSai 2016-17. It decided to grant the license to participate in Italy’s elite division as the club fullfilled all the necessary requirements according to the regulations of the League and Fipav.
Italian league president, Albino Massaccesi commented the decision: “We are pleased to welcome Vibo Valentia back at the highest level. The Board of Directors saw fit to reward to constant commitment of President Callipo in the promotion of our sport. He’s an entrepreneur who was keen to offer a great volleyball team to a whole region acting with the same courage and passion with which he does in his industrial project. We have no doubt that the passion and great support seen in Vibo Valentia in the recent playoffs will help make this new adventure a successful one too”.
