It’s a 3-0 victory for Trento but the score proves it’s not been one-way traffic. After a poor first set, Milan played with character and managed to lose the next two sets only by the minimum margin. This was setter Boninfante’s first game with the Milan shirt on and he greeted the fans with some spectacular plays. MVP Mitar Djuric (Diatec Trentino)
Dante Boninfante (Revivre Milano): “We did a good job of staying in the game for two sets and a half. I’ve seen a great will and motivation today. We can build on this to train this week and improve our level of play. This team just needs a win to loosen up and perform at the end of sets as well. Now we’ll work for Wednesday’s game”.
Tine Urnaut (Diatec Trentino): “I am glad I could help the team take three very important points. We still have some work to do but I liked the way we played through the tough times. I feel better and better. I just need a bit of time to find my rhythm. We’ll now face two important games, we have to focus immediately on Verona”.
