2015-16 fixture list is out
The three-day Volley Market event in Bologna was a real success, setting the new season perfectly. Special guest, comedian and humourist Max Paiella, added a great touch of fun on this last day as the unveiling of the fixture lists were highly anticipated.
“We managed to launch an important season in spite of all the international commitments that compose a pre-Olympic year – said the Italian Volleyball League president Albino Massaccesi – We have to be happy, we remain today one of the most interesting sports on the Italian panorama”.

President Massaccesi and the Italian league are delighted to continue hand in hand with UnipolSai, the Title sponsor. “The confirmation of UnpolSai as well as all the other partners just show the kind of quality we work with” added CEO Massimo Righi.
There was time for the predictions among the experts and the survey revealed the names of Modena and Civitanova for the SuperLega, and Vibo and Siena for the Serie A2.
All the best contributors of last season received an award: Diego Mosna (Trento’s President, league title winner), Stefano Recine (Sport Director Civitanova, Super Cup winner), Catia Pedrini (Modena President, Italian Cup winner), Francesco Prestinenzi (Sport Director Vibo Valentia, Serie A2 cup winner).
Giammarco Bisogno, President Emma Villas Siena, Francesco Santini, Team Manager Globo Scarabeo Civita Castellana, and Giancarlo Augustoni, President VBC Mondovì got on stage and received a standing ovation as leaders of newly promoted clubs.
Finally, the “Roberto Stracca” award given to the best media departments of the SuperLega and Serie A2 went to Gian Paolo Maini (Modena) and Francesca Marchese (Ortona). They were elected by the national journalists of volleyball.
