Italian League supports AIL
On June 21, we celebrate the tenth edition of the National Day for the fight against leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic. The event promoted by AIL, will be a special occasion to illustrate the progress of scientific research through meetings and awareness events, and to once again be close to the children and adults who suffer from hematology illnesses.
There will be many initiatives:
First of all, it will be possible to call the 800 226524 to ask any question and receive advice on the illness.
Then the main event of the day will be for the seventh consecutive year the “…dreaming Ithaca”, a long trip on the sail boat in the Adriatic and Tyrrenhian See from Trieste to Palermo, from 23 May to 20 June. The initiative aims to promote sailing as a therapeutic method aimed at psychological rehabilitation and improvement of the quality of life of patients.
Another important moment on June 18 in Bologna, will be the 5th edition of the “Take…Action!” award for non-professional video makers under 35. The aim is to promote the integration of young and creative artists in the fields of communication and media and get tools to help AIL to promote their commitment in the fight against blood cancers. This year the spokesperson and Chairman of the jury will be the director Ferzan Ozpetek.
On Monday 15 June, the Association will star in the Taormina Film Festival with an awareness day in the fight against blood cancers.
