Playoffs SuperLega UnipolSai

Exprivia Neldiritto Molfetta – Energy T.I. Diatec Trentino

(0-1)

Trentino bounced back from its CEV Cup final disappointment with a convincing 3-0 win over Molfetta in game 1. Dominated for two sets, Molfetta gave signs of a fight back in the third but that lasted only till halfway through the set. Overall, the visitors made too many mistakes, 13 at the net and 12 on the serve. Game 2 is in Molfetta, where Trento conceded one of its only 3 defeats in regular season.

Past encounters: 5 (4-1 Trento)

This season: 1 each ( 3-0 for Trento then 3-2 for Molfetta)

In the playoffs: 1-0 for Trento this season.

Raydel Hierrezuelo (Exprivia Neldiritto Molfetta): “Sunday’s game will be a totally different one than the one played Wednesday. We’ll have the fans on our side and that can be an important factor. We are up for it, we will give it our best to push it to game 3. We have to take risks and play without fear”.

Martin Nemec (Energy T.I. Diatec Trentino): “Game 2 will definitely be more difficult than on Wednesday in Trento. But we have the advantage that we’ve already played in their PalaPoli arena this season, we know what we’re up against and we’re more prepared compared to the league game which we lost 3-2. We’ll try to seal the series in the Apulia, we’ll do everything to make it but we know they will play at a different level”.

Calzedonia Verona – Sir Safety Perugia

(1-0)

Perugia has no choice but win in Verona to stay alive in the series as it was stunned last Sunday on home soil. Perugia had a poor performance on the serve and in reception. They had only lost three times at home, against the three teams that ended in front in the table, and they have a good unbeaten run in the Champions League but thanks to a good reception, Verona took advantage to make the upset as Gasparini, Deroo and sander all finished in double figures in the tie-break triumph. In order to turn things around, Perugia will need more than just Atanasijevic (top scorer of game 1 with 27 points).
