Ravenna knocked out Liberec as most expected and qualified for the Challenge Cup quarter-finals. Kantor’s men will face the Serbians of Red Star Belgrade. The latter had won the first leg 3-1 against the Hungarians of Kaposvar and won the return leg 3-2.
Waldo Kantor (Coach CMC Ravenna): “Liberec played at a lower level compared to the first leg but we have played a good volleyball and obtained what we wanted, the quarter-finals”.
