Del Monte Super Cup presentation
The presentation of the Super Cup took place in a press conference this morning in Brindisi. The event will put face to face the Italian Champions of Cucine Lube Banca Marche Treia and the cup winners of Piacenza, who will play for the first trophy of the season on Tuesday October 14 in Brindisi’s Pentassuglia arena. The game will be broadcasted in over 60 countries worldwide.
“Brindisi proved it could be a leader in promoting sport events and in the organization of important competitions like the Del Monte Super Cup” said Brindisi town mayor Conzales.
“Being from the Apulia region, I am particularly satisfied that such an event comes to this region – said the vice president of the Italian Volleyball League Michele Miccolis – Brindisi strongly desired to host the Super Cup and the League was happy to hand them this opportunity. Led by the town mayor, the administration and the local Fipav, there has been a great effort made in the organization of the event, which is why we will certainly consider Brindisi in the future again”.
