Cuneo European dream is over. The Italians were defeated by a tenacious TV Ingersoll Bühl team, first at the tie-break and then at the consequent Golden Set. Piazza’s men had come back from a 2-0 deficit by dominating the third and fourth set but they just could not go over the hump and qualify to the quarters.

Latina showed character, especially when it was behind in the scoreboard, to clinch a 3-0 victory in the Challenge cup 16th of finals first leg against Antwerp. MVP Starovic
Roberto Santilli (coach Andreoli Latina): “We have opened a door, hopefully we’ll manage to enter it in the league too. They did not give anything away. Let’s keep our feet on the ground. This was the toughest game because this is a team that comes from the Cev Cup, it will not be easy in Belgium”.
Daniele Sottile (Andreoli Latina): “They have a good team, while we’re going through a bad patch. Hopefully, this will have turned things around. There is still a long way to go, but we have to find our way out of the tunnel with wins like this one”.
