Starting tomorrow in Macerata and Loreto
Thanks to the exceptional collaboration of Macerata and Loreto Volley, the Italian Volleyball League managed to re-organize the Junior Final Eight. The efforts were made primarily not to prevent the youngsters to take part in one of the most prestigious competitions of youth volleyball. This was not easy due to the Under 18 finals coming soon and the A-Level exams which involves many players.
The event will begin tomorrow and go on until Sunday, with Macerata’s PalaFontescodella as the main court, and also in Loreto’s gym, the Palaserenelli.
The Final Eight was originally meant to be played in Calderara di Reno and San Lazzaro di Savena, but it was moved due to the tragic earthquake that devastated the region yesterday, May 29.
The 8 teams will be divided into two groups. The top two of each group will go through to the semis. The third classified will meet for fifth place and the fourth classified will play for seventh place.
