Trentino is already in the semi-final of the World Club Championships 2011 as it defeated the home side of Al Arabi Doha, in Qatar. On Wednesday, Stoytchev’s team will face the strongest team of the group in Sesi Sao Paulo, coached by Gigio Giovane and in which there are many players who have had experience in the Italian league such as Murilo, Sidao, Sergio and Rodrigao. The game against the Brazilians will have the top spot of the group at stake, which will define which opponent both team will get in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, we already know the final standings of Pool A. If Trento was to lose, it would meet Jastrzebski, coached by Lorenzo Bernardi, but if it manages to win, it will be up against Kazan, which has Valerio Vermiglio as setter.

“These are the typical games in which only the result counts and we managed that without suffering too much – explained coach Radostin Stoytchev – I am satisfied with the result and even more with the fact we are through, which allow us to face the next encounter full of confidence and without any worry. The most positive thing of this game has to be the comeback of Djuric, which managed to keep up well with the rhythm although he will obviously need time to improve”.
