The League’s Italian U-23 selection was presented today as the project celebrates its second edition. The program will take place from June 6 to July 9.
28 players have been picked from 23 different clubs and will be coached by Flavio Gulinelli and his staff. The group will train in Monte Bondone, not far from Trento.
“This is one of the most important initiatives of our volleyball league – said Italian Volleyball League president Diego Mosna – The beginning of the first edition had been complicated, but the club let us know how important it was to continue carrying out such a quality work during the summer. This is also an important financial investment we’re making and that translates into a quality work in every detail. The idea to offer classes, like English lessons as well, will not be the only initiatives and this proves that we are not only focusing on improving the technical and physical aspects of the boys”.
“I have a top quality staff which gives us a guarantee to do an excellent job – said coach Gulinelli – This will be a special camp that will focus both on the physical and technical parts. Friendlies? We will see after the first week, my first target is for the boys to improve homogeneously. I am really happy to have been called upon to guide this National selection: I think it did not even take me half a second to accept”.
