Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia – Andreoli Latina

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 9 (5-4 Vibo Valentia)

Vincenzo Di Pinto (Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia): “We’ll try to learn from the mistakes made against Roma. We can give a game to anyone and we’ll try to get back to winning”.

Giampaolo Medei (Andreoli Latina): “There’s no time to sort out the things that did not go well against Castellana Grotte. But despite the difficulties, we’ll try to find the necessary energy to face this long trip. Our target is to get precious points, it would do us good for our league position, but also morally”.

Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo – Sisley Treviso

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 78 (49-29 Treviso)

Giuseppe Patriarca (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “It will definitely be a difficult game, against an important team that will come to Cuneo determined to get some points. They have just played a good game against Modena while we beat Forli: there is everything needed for an intense encounter. The difference is that we also have to prepare the Champions League game against Belgorod, but that is already seeing one step too far. Let’s focus on Treviso now to prepare it as well as possible”.

Roberto Piazza (Sisley Treviso): “It will be very tough in Cuneo. Hopefully, my boys will consolidate the technical and mental progress made. Cuneo doesn’t make many mistakes at all, to win not only we’ll we need to play better but also to limit our mistakes to the minimum”.

Marmi Lanza Verona – BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 5 (4 successi Marmi Lanza Verona, 1 successo Castellana Grotte)

Meoni Marco (Marmi Lanza Verona): “After the three points obtained in Piacenza, we’re playing host to Castellana Grotte. This will be a very tough game for us, this will be a crucial encounter for us which will tell us a lot on where we stand”.

Flavio Gulinelli (BCC-NEP Castellana Grotte): “When I accepted this mission, I said it would be 13 finals. We have won one so far. We have another one in Verona on Sunday. We have to focus on winning, especially these games that are not against other teams trying not to go down. It won’t be easy but we’ll put in the necessary determination and fighting spirit”.

Acqua Paradiso Monza Brianza – Itas Diatec Trentino

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 4 (All Trento)

Mauro Gavotto (Acqua Paradiso Monza Brianza): “We’ll have to build on the good things done against Macerata, without looking at how prestigious is our opponent. We’ll have to avoid repeating the mistakes made in the Italian Cup against Stoytchev’s team. In order to beat the top teams, you always need something special, and on Thursday we proved we could put on court that extra something”.

Emanuele Birarelli (Itas Diatec Trentino): “Monza in their gym, they always make it difficult for you. I think we have to prepare in consequence, we have an important advantage in the table but we have to improve mentally in the decisive moments. Sunday’s game could be useful in that respect”.

RPA-LuigiBacchi.it San Giustino – Lube Banca Marche Macerata

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 19 (17-2 Macerata)

Emanuele Zanini (RPA-LuigiBacchi.it San Giustino): “After Cuneo and Trento, here is another tough game against Macerata. The schedule is not helping us but we have the advantage to play home, where we are usually more effective. There is a big gap in terms of level of play but we won’t give up that easily”.

Andrea Brogioni (ass. coach Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “We should not overreact after the home loss against Monza. On the contrary, this loss should help us to understand where we got it wrong, and make up for our mistakes. Playing in San Giustino is not easy but we’ll be positive and confident, hoping we’ll face a team in good shape”.

Casa Modena – Copra Morpho Piacenza

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 21 (13-8 Piacenza)

Daniele Bagnoli (Casa Modena): “From the next game onwards, they will all be finals for us, this is the spirit with which we’ll have to approach games. Piacenza won our first meeting rather easily, hopefully we’ll be able to turn that around. The players are getting used to the change of coach and the different way to work. I’m hoping to know everyone better day after day in order to improve the situation”.

Massimiliano Giaccardi (ass. coach Copra Morpho Piacenza): “It’s getting even more difficult after Thursday’s defeat. It’s tough to go to Modena but we have to roll up our sleeves because at the end of the day we haven’t played that bad against Verona. We were decent in the first two sets, we really lost our way only in the third. We have to bounce back from this home loss. Having changed coach, Modena will have to get used to a new rhythm, we could take advantage of this situation”.

Yoga Forlì – M. Roma Volley

PAST ENCOUNTERS: 1 (Roma)

Vigor Bovolenta (Yoga Forlì): “This is the start of a series of crucial games, these are the ones that will tell us if we go down or if we can still fight to stay up. The first one comes Sunday at home against Roma, then there will be Castellana and San Giustino. After those three games, we’ll know if we still have a chance to stay up or if we are doomed to be relegated. The time has come to leave it out on the floor, starting this Sunday”.

Gianluca Saraceni (M. Roma Volley): “We’re facing another very difficult game in Forli. The important thing will be not to rest on our laurels after Thursday’s victory against Vibo Valentia, thinking we have solved all our problems”.
