In the second round of the Champions League, the Italians are chasing another hat-trick of victories following last week’s three winning tie-breaks. Trento travels to Belchatow (Pol) which is top thanks to the three points obtained away against Remat Zalau. Cuneo will make its home debut against Radnicki Kragujevac, Serbian team that was beaten by Noliko Maaseik in the first round. On Thursday, Treviso will play host to the Russian team of Lokomotiv Belgorod in Belluno’s PalaSpes gym. Former Treviso setter (2001-02) Giacomo Sintini plays there.
In the Cev Cup, it’s time for the return games. Modena heads to Zagreb with a 3-0 advantage and will try to go through to the 8th of finals. In the Challenge Cup, Macerata will fight for a place in the 16th of final against Crvena Zvezda at home. In the first leg, the Italian clinch the victory at the tie-break.
