October’s MVP is Angel Dennis
Angel Dennis grabbed the MVP award for October. Modena’s outside hitter obtained the coveted prize thanks to tree nominations: in the games against Macerata, Verona and Treviso in which he respectively scored 31, 27 and 30 points. The award will be handed to him in Modena’s next home game against Taranto, scheduled at 6pm on Sunday 15 November.
FIVB Men’s Club World Volleyball Championship
Trentino Betclic’s opponents
The FIVB Men’s Club World Volleyball Championship is getting closer for Trentino. The competition will take place in Doha, Qatar, from the 3rd to the 8th of November. The European champions have been drawn in Pool A, and it will meet the Egyptians of Zamalek (3 November at 9am Italian time), the Russians of Kazan (4 November at 2pm) and the Puerto Rican team of Planterenos Corozal (5 November at 2pm). If Trento finishes amongst the top two of the group, it will go through to the semi finals, scheduled on the 7th of November. It would either meet the first or second of the other group, which could be the hosts Al Arabi Doha, the Cimed Florianopolis (Brazil), the Paykan Teheran (from Iran), or the PGE Skra Belchatow (Poland), where Winiarski plays.
