The last round of the league final 2009 was sold out in Trento. Great crowds all the way in the final and great show on court too. Trento was flying towards its second consecutive title, taking the first two sets, but Piacenza’s reaction was beautiful, extraordinary. It had the better in the third and fourth set, forcing the host to the tie-break. Trento seemed to be on the verge of repeating last season’s feat twice but Piacenza managed to find the resources to level things up on each occasion before eventually becoming the new Italian Champs.
