The name of the team going up in the A1 will only be known next Saturday. Indeed, in game 2, Gioia del Colle proved once more it was very difficult to beat in its backyard. Latina won game 1 with relative ease but could not cope with the reaction of Cannestracci’s boys, who did well to take control of things after losing the first set.

Indeed, Latina had the better start, taking the first set thanks again to some good serving. Latina were ahead in the second set too 21-19 but that’s when the come back of Diogo and co started. In a sold out gym, Diogo scored 20 and Dias 26 as Gioia forced the decider, which will take place in Latina on saturday 16 May at 6pm.
