The regular season winner, Macerata, needs a breakthrough to keep dreaming of a league title. Trailed 2-1 in its semi final series against Piacenza, Corsano and co will have to come back from Piacenza with the victory to force the deciding game 5. This will not be easy by any means given how Lorenzetti’s team improved, be that technically and tactically. Besides, going far in the playoffs despite a low ranking in the regular season is a Piacenza speciality: last season they finished 6th before reaching the league final.
FORMULA PLAY OFF – Semi finals and final will be played on the best of five games. The best classified team at the end of the regular season will host the first, third and fifth game, if needed.
