LATINA TOP FOR THE FIRST TIME
For the first time this season, Latina took first place. However, it has to share this top spot with Santa Croce, as they both stands with 40 points. Latina registered the only 3-0 victory of the day, away in Catania.
Santa Croce were defeated in Roma 2-3. Bassano went back to winning ways against Cavriago, as Cretu’s boys snatched it at the tie-break thanks to a constant comeback in this last set.
The game between Isernia and Crema seemed a never-ending story until Isernia finally put the end-word to it at 23-21 in the tie-break. Castellana Grotte obtained a positive result too, ending 3-1 winners against Bologna. Rosso and Moro stood out with excellent performances.
Città di Castello made a step forward toward the safety with a 3-1 away win that upset Gioia del Colle.
Mantova’s unbeaten run in the return games continued with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over newly promoted Castelfidardo that came about after trailing 2-0.
