Both Pineto and Modena were desperate for points before the encounter. However, Modena felt more pressure as it stands a lot lower than it expected to in the table. Was it too much pressure? Pineto took advantage by playing with great composure. Paolo Montagnani’s team was aggressive from the word ‘go’, serving hard, digging and blocking exceptionally well. Added to this, the far too many mistakes made by Modena (8 in the first) and Pineto were flying towards a straight set win.

It’s difficult to speak about it, we only need to work and get some points. I am worried because we have to start playing and winning.
