The Italian clubs started their European campaign in the best possible way. Trento and Piacenza got off to a winning start in the Champions League, getting rid respectively of Bled and Paris. Trento was a lot more superior technically to its opponent and did not let them the minimal hope. The road to Prague, dream of the club and its fans, is now a little shorter.
Piacenza’s opponent was of a better quality, but the Italians came away from the French capital with a 3-1 win all the same. Hristo Zlatanov was outstanding again with 27 points.
Tomorrow, it will be Macerata’s turn at 6pm when it meets Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian capital.
