ANDREA GIANI ENTERS THE VOLLEYBALL HALL OF FAME
Today, Andrea Giani enters the Volleyball Hall of Fame. Modena’s coach is already in Holyoke, Massachusettes, where the award ceremony will take place on Thursday night. This is the second Italian player to receive this prestigious acknowledgement after Andrea Gardini. The other players to be celebrated will be Japanese Masae Kasai Nakamura, Ukrainian Yury Poyarkov, US Randy Stoklos and two deceased manager: Turkish Sinan Erdem and Russian Vladimir Savvine.
Giani has already had a taste of the Hall of Fame atmosphere. He’s visited some of the most significant places around Holyoke. He also did an important interview named ‘Volleyball in Prospective’, which will enrich the archive of the Volleyball Hall of Fame.
