Macerata won on the same score as it hosted Valentia. Igor Omrcen was back in the starting line up and scored 13 points. This victory means Macerata goes top of the league, remaining the only undefeated team left.
Forli found a way to victory for the first time this season as it faced Perugia. They snatched it at the tie-break after coming back from 2-1. These proved two crucial points for coach Piero Molducci�€�s team, leaving Padova alone at the bottom, consequence of its 3-1 loss in Trento. Michal Winiarski stood out and was awarded the MVP title.
Verona finished on the bitter end of a third tie-break of the season. Ahead 2-0 on the scoreboard, it was pegged back and overcome by Modena (7-15 in the fifth set). The middleblockers shined, Bontje broke the number of aces record of the season with 6, while Lee reached new heights with 8 blocks.
