HERE’S ALL THE DATES TO SIGN UP FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Tomorrow the deadline to buy the sport share
Tomorrow will be the first important date to the admission to the Serie A1 and A2 TIM championships 2008/09. By 18.00 all the Clubs wanting to buy the sport share of a Serie A Club, will have to present their application to the Lega Pallavolo Serie A board of directors who will make a decision within 5 days from the presentation date.
For the Clubs who took part in the Serie A TIM championship in the 2007/08 season and the 4 winners of the Serie B1 POOLS 2007/08, the date for the submission of their application form is fixed for 12.00 o’clock on the 4th of june 2008.
The 5th team promoted in Serie A2 TIM, so the playoffs winner, will be able to present their application by and not after 12 o’ clock of the tenth day after the date they won the title in A2. In case they wished to sell the title, it will have to happen 7 days after promotion.
the Commission will decided by 18.00 of teh 24th of june 2008, when the complete list of teams taking part in the Serie A TIM 2008/09 championships will be published.
TIM JUNIOR LEAGUE FINAL EIGHT
PRESENTED IN MODENA TODAY. STARTING ON THE 29TH OF MAY
Today at PalaPanini in Modena, the 17th edition of the TIM Junior League has been presented, taking place from the 29th of may to the 2nd of june in Sestola (MO) for the second year in a row.
It will be another important young even organised by the Lega Pallvolo Serie A that, after the success of the TIM Boy League, has decided to join the Anderlini School of Volleyball in the preparation and support of the event.
“The previous editions of the Junior League – underlined the Volleyball League’s Marketing and Event director, Yvonne Schlesinger – have always been important stages for players who then joined the top leagues.
Even last year we saw players like Bellei, Cuda, Barone, Patriarca, Cortina, Smerilli and Gitto, just to mention a few names now in Serie A. We have decided to organise this even with the Anderlini school of volleyball because by the quality is guaranteed”.
Taking part in the press conference were also Claudio Benedetti, Cimone Modena Under 20 coach and David Krumins, the captain of the team. Their comment is the same :”We are happy to be here, aware of our qualities. Playing in the Final Eight is a great result but we will not stop here, trying to get as high as possible”.
For Leonardo Caponi, SD of Cimone Modena “The event will represent an important meeting point for all the volleyball staff who will meet in Sestola to see the promising players of our volleyball at work”.
The TIM Junior League 2008 will start on thursday the 29th of may with the opening match between Sparkling Milano and Lube Banca Marche Macerata (current champions) at 9.30.
It will be the beginning of 5 consecutive days where the Italian Volleyball future champions will challenge each others: an escalation of emotions and meetings which will finish with the final on monday the 2nd of june at 16.00 broadcasted on SKY Sport 2 on wednesday the 4th of june at 20.00 commented by Roberto Prini and Andrea Zorzi.
