Last call for the title. After Copra Nordmeccanica Piacenza’s victory in match 2 against Itas Diatec Trentino, the third challenge of the Serie A1 TIM final is on its way. It will be the one assigning the title; the appointment is on wednesday at 20.30 in Trento where PalaTrento prepares to dress up in fancy clothes again.
It will be the 8th time the title is given away on Match 3. On two occasions Turin and Parma, in the 81/82 season and the following one, three matches were played in the series won by Parma in both cases. In the 84/85 season Modena and Bologna were up for it with the title ending under Bologna two towers.
In the 86/87 and 87/88 season Modena and Parma chellenged eachother 5 times before finding the title winner. The successes were signed Modena both years.
In the 96/97 season it happened between Modena and Treviso; Modena won again, then coached by Daniele Bagnoli.
The most recent one is surely the one that will be remembered the longest, it is the unforgettable Lube Banca Marche Macerata-Sisley Treviso, played at Palas in Pesaro, where about 11.000 spectators cheered for Macerata’s victory.

After Isernia’s victory yesterday, the situation is even and everything is postponed to the third match played on wednesday the 7th of may in Verona at 20.30.
