MONTICHIARI – Sisley Treviso wins 1-3 in Montichiari against Acqua Paradiso Gabeca in the Serie A1 TIM’s 15th round’s early match.

Dal Zotto’s men give continuity to their victory last sunday against Corigliano and temporarily place themselves 4th in the standings, ahead of Macerata.

Treviso’s coach lets Cisolla resting, replacing him with Horstink. Alessandro Fei in on court as well, absent last wednesday in the Indesit Champions League and MVP today.

Balanced first set which is only decided at the very end when the guest team score a precious break going from 20-20 to 21-23. Then Horstink and Hubner close it on 22-25.

In the second set the road seems wide and clear for Sisley and their fast and precise volleyball. Acqua Paradiso Gabeca collects too many mistakes, both digging and attacking ( 39% positivity). The set closes on 15-25.

Velasco’s men shake up and win the third set leaving Treviso on 15 points. A set which, compared to the previous one, is played with high intensity and many mistakes by Treviso.

They go to the fourth set, Montichiari wants to re open the match but that does not happen. Sisley find their game and determination again and they set the match on the right trucks from the very beginning. The distance is quite wide at the second TTO already. It ends on 16-25.

Marcello Forni (Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari): “Apart from the third set when Treviso’s performance went down and ours was good, we made too many silly mistakes. Sisley is an excellent team, they blocked well and played with great intensity”.

Renan Dal Zotto (Sisley Treviso): “They are three important points because playing in Montichiari is not easy for anyone. I have seen good things even though in the third set we went down dramatically, thanks to Montichiari. When we played at the top of our concentration we expresses a good volleyball. Fei? He is close to his best shape”

MVP: Alessandro Fei (Sisley Treviso)
