Second round of the second leg for the Serie A1 TIM that on saturday afternoon will live the early match between Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari and Sisley Treviso (18.30 live on SKY Sport 2). After their first defeat in the Indesit Champions League against Poland Jastrzebski Wegiel, the Italian champions will be able to count on Alessandro Fei again, left to rest on tuesday.
A breath of fresh air on the other side of the net after the success in Latina; Montichiari got the whole jackpot again after the 3rd of october, when Velasco’s team won 3-0 against Sisley themselves. 54 the matches played between the teams: 46 won by Treviso and 8 by Montichiari.
On sunday, Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo – Lube Banca Marche Macerata is one of the matches not to be missed: the fourth in the standings is meeting the leader. Cuneo not in such a good mood after losing their last championship’s and Champions League’s deferements. Cuban setter Gonzalez’ conditions are to be checked, absent in the past two matches. Macerata, on the other hand, will try and follow up on their victory at tie break against Modena last monday. Geric continues his rehabilitation after his ankle injury in Izmir: Rodrigao and Lebl are a good warrantee though. It will be challenge number 47 for them with 25 victories for Cuneo over 21 for Macerata.
Under the spotlight at PalaPanini is Cimone Modena hosting Itas Diatec Trentino. Andrea Giani, knocked out by the flu in the Challenge Cup’s match, is counting on being back on the bench and believes the lack of mistakes and the service management arethe key to cause trouble for the Trentini. Stoychev’s men though, will ba able to count on Gregor Jeroncic, back after an abdominal problem. A different matter for Winiarski whose use is less likely to happen. The Polish player carries on with his alternative work to recover from the severe back problem he suffered in December and on sunday he will be replaced by Della Lunga again.
Sparkling Milano – Corpa Nordmeccanica Piacenza will taste like a real derby; a very special match for ex Zlatanov and Cozzi who grew in Milano. Simone Rosalba is one of the ex players too, today in Milan but in Piacenza for the 2003/04 season.
Piacenza is coming from a defeat in the Indesit Champions League in Vienna when Lorenzetti let many of the starting six rest, playing regularlyon sunday.No problem with the team for Milan either. Match with safety points at stake in the southern derby of Corigliano between Famigliulo and Prisma Taranto. The home team will try and conquer the victory to shorten the distance between them and Lattari’s men themselves, back to success after 11 consecutive defeats.
Another derby scheduled for 18.30 (live on Sky Sport 2) at PalaEvengelisti in Perugia, between RPA-LuigiBacchi.it and M. Roma Volley. Perugia have only collected one victory in the last eight matches and they will try and change the situation with the Romans. Not an easy task against the new leader.
On momday the round will be closed by Monday Night which will host Antonveneta Padova and Andreoli Latina (20.35 – Sky Sport 2). Padova has not lost at home against Latina sine the 2003/04 season. A challenge between the challenge between the two strongest ace men of the championship: Perazzolo and Gilson.

SERIE A2 TIM – 4th Round, 2nd Leg

the 4th round of the Serie A2 TIM will open on saturdayat 20.30 with the Mare&Volley Forlì – Olio Pignatelli Isernia match. Three matches played between the teams, all won by the pentris.
All the other matches on saturday at 18.00.
Leader Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia will visit Fiorse SpA Bassano who surprisingly defeated Olio Pignatelli in Isernia last week. In Bassano, the new era signed Gheorghe Cretu seemed to have given good results. Vibo, coming from the midweek appointments in the TIM CUP A2 where won against Taviano at tie break, will aim at keeping the Serie A2 leadership. The top place is shared with Marmi Lanza Verona who is playing at PalaOlimpia against Stilcasa Salento d’amare Taviano led by ex yellow and blue coach Massimo Dagioni.
The third of the league, SP TTTLines Catania, will play in front of their own supporters again after the bad performance in the TIM CUP A2 against Crema. This round’s opponent will be Codyeco Santa Croce.
Framasil Cucine Pineto – Materdomini Volley.it Castellana Grotte will represent an opportunity for Divis and Co. to get back in line to avoid demotion. Currently they have to recover 8 points on the 6th before last in the last 12 matches. Castellana has the opposite problem because the team behind them is getting closer and closer and they risk to be sucked in, even though the success in the Cup against Verona has given the team enthusiasm.
Between the teams who have changed stepped up in the past few weeks we have Monini Marconi spoleto who will play in Mantova against Raccorderie Metalliche, last in the standings.
The round will be closed by teh TV deferement, live on Snai Sat (ch 220), between Divani&Divani Avellino and Tiscali Cagliari 20.30. Two teams currently in the low part of the standings, 2nd and 3rd before last, only two points apart. Cagliari, with Nicola Cabras promoted to head coach, will try and fins their first away victory of the season to get closer to safety; same for Avellino who is hoping to get some hopes back.
