SERIE A2 TIM
Serie A2 TIM is more and more exiting. It is a hell of a fight for the first place, currently in the hands of Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia thanks to a higher set ratio compared to Marmi Lanza Verona.
From 3rd to 9th position, seven teams are grouped within 3 points only but if you look at the bigger picture, there are only six points away from the 5th before last. It looks like the championship will be an exiting one where balance is continuously broken, match after match.
That is what happened yesterday for the third round of the second leg whit Mare&Volley Forli beating Marmi Lanza in Verona, Codyeco Santa Croce winning in Castellana Grotte and Fiorese Spa Bassano beating Olio Pignatelli Isernia.
Same result for Monini Marconi Spoleto who defeated bomber Cazzaniga’s Premier Hotels Crema at home. Three golden points for Polidori’s men who for the occasion have had to do without young middle blocker Nicola Campagnaro. Not so bad because their coach found in Pavan and Corsini a couple of reliable middle blockers. To them you need to add Gianni Montanari who took off the SD shirt, he went on court and scored 4 points.
Class of 1969, Montanari has 5 Serie A championships and 18 Serie B years of experiences behind him. then last year the decision to put his shoes on the hook has arrived to dedeicate himself to the sport director’s role.
Always in Spoleto, where he lived for many years of sport. Yesterday, the come back to the game in order to contribute directly from court and counquer precious points towards safety.
