TRENTO – Itas Ditec Trentino has some difficulties in the middle set only when Prisma Taranto’s service created probles for their reception.
Taranto seems to want to try and take over. Trento does not give in to nerves and takes its time to get back in the match, recovering the gap going head to head relying on Nikolov and Kaziyski in attack, almost not feeling the tiredness from the World Cup.
On 17-17 the set is closed with Taranto getting lost leaving Trento free to go on 25-23.
There is no reaction from Prisma in the second set, affected by Vissotto’s low performance. he closes the match on 30% in attack but the whole team makes a lot of mistakes, giving 24 points away.
More balance in the third set, where Grbic and Dore Della Lunga show more convincing things. The serbian setter, after scoring a point with a block, seems to distribute the balls away with great lucidity involving his team mates with balance. Well done for spiker Della Lunga too, on court for Winiarski from the start of the set. Stoytchev uses almost all his men to sign a victory that brings Trento on 19, just behind Cuneo and Roma.
Radostin Stoytchev (Itas Diatec Trentino): “A good 3-0 but many mistakes by Taranto that helped us winning easily. We have had some problems in the first set, especially in the blocking-digging. Roma, next sunday, will certainly be a more reliable test to see where the team is”.
Radames Lattari (Prisma Taranto): “ Our difficulties on the high ball could be seen. It was impossible to follow Trento’s rhythm and I hope the Club will intervene on the market as soon as possible to purchase another spiker for our group”.
