THE KOREAN FEDERATION STUDIES THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Italian Volleyball has always been interesting to foreign federations and leagues thanks to its organisation, quality and enteirtainment. From this saturday, the Serie A Volleyball League’s MD, Massimo Righi, will introduce the reality of the Serie A TIM to a group of directors from the Korea Volleyball Association.
The first appointment has been made for sunday afternoon, when the Asian delegation will attend the Cimone Modena – Acqua Paradiso Montichiari’s match and will meet Cimone Modena’s directors.
The whole of monday will be dedicated to the study of the Serie A Volleyball League with a visit to the new offices in Via Rivani in Bologna, to analyse the structure’s dynamics, the marketing and communication strategies.
On tuesday they will be at “La Ghilarda’s”, the Benetton’s family’s sport centre, true cradle of Treviso’s sport, with 220.000 square metres of equipment and green spaces. In the evening they will move to Jesolo to follow the Indesit Champions League match between Sisley Treviso and Belgium’s Knack Roeselare.
Consistent with his engagements, the President of the Serie A Volleyball League, Diego Mosca, will also meet the Korean Federation representatives during their stay in Italy.
“It is not the first time we receive foreign federations or leagues – MD Massimo Righi said – our movement is one of the most considered and appreciated in the world, these visits to discover our reality do confirm that. Teh Korean Federation directors will be able to interact with the managers of two prestigious Clubs, observing from backstage the organisation of a Serie A TIM and an Indesit Champions League’s match”.

ITALY: THE NETHERLANDS, POLAND AND SPAIN ON THE ROAD TO BEIJIN 2008
After winning the Olympics pre-qualifying tournament in Catania, Andrea Anastasi’s Italy looks at Izmir’s tournament (TUR) that will take place from the 7th to the 13th of January and will give the winner their ticket to the Olympics. The draws took place today to form the Pools; Italy is in the same Pool as the Netherlands, Poland and the European Champions of Spain.
The adventure will start on the 7th of January (15.30 L.T.) against the Netherlands followed by Poland on the 8th (17.00 L.T.) and Spain on the 9th (14.30 L.T.).
Turkey, Seria, Finland and Germany in the other Pool.
