“GIVE ME FIVE, GIVE ME A RECORD”
THE VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE AND SPAZIO PREVENZIONE ONLUS
The men’s Serie A Volleyball League embraces anither great charity work and gets together with Spazio Prevenzione Onlus to attempt getting into the Guineess book of records.
In order to collect the necessary funds to allow their oncology prevention work (primary and secondary) and oncological patients’ psycological support, the Association has decided to realise the biggest coins mosaic. The current record was set in 2004 by Yoko Ono, so Spazio Prevenzione will have to collect 3 million coins, of any size and nationality, as long as they are still valid.
The collection is just the first part of the challenge. The second one is the realisation of a mosaic representing a proper drawing where coins will have to be placed according to their colour. the chosen subject is a hand (“Give me five”) which will be the theme of all the initiatives and gadgets related to the project (“Give me a record”).
The Volleyball League could not avoid contributing to the project considering “Give me five, give me a record” is on children’s side. With this enourmous collection the project “On children’s side” will be supported, offering a free and personalised psycological service to children with cancer and their families.
