Trento – As predicted, at least by looking at the statistics previous to the match (Trento always a winner at home, Corigliano alway beaten away), Itas Diatec Trentino eats Famigliulo in one bite, leaving them with 48 total points. Too big a difference overall, attack (59% to 38% for Trento), Blocks (11-2) and service (9 home aces against 3 for Corigliano). Despite the fact their digging was not so good, Radostin Stoytchev’s team manages to get its 4th consecutive success (which has been missing in Trento since the 2003/2004 season when Itas Diatec Trentino won the Regular Season) in a similar way to the Montichiari and Perugia’s victories, which means without allowing the opponents to hit back. Individuals to point out are Kazyski (70% attack) and Winiarki (67%); for Corigliano not such a good Biribanti (22% stopped by a shoulder problem; without their attacking main terminal it was very difficult for Giuliani’s team also because Corevetta had to run miles to run after uncertain diggs from his team.
Radostin Stoytchev (Itas Diatec Trentino): “I am happy, it is an important success whether it is the forth on or not. We have been able to limit Biribanti from the beginning and even if we did not play at high level we got the three points without losing a set. There is still a lot to do, but with so many victories in our pockets it is always good”.
