Balanced first set ends 23-25. Similar second set ends with the same result. Piacenza feels the heat and falls under Wijmans and Parodi’s attacks. and it is 21-25 in the third and final set.

TRENTO – Even too easy for Diatec Trentino against Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari. Stoytchev’s team led the game from the beginning and did everything well especially attacking (66% overall) and blocking.
Let’s not mention Kaziyski (MVP) author of one of an amaziong performance (93% positive attacks), 13 out of 14 successful attacks.
Montichiari found it hard to get it in the game. 54% overall attack is misleading, in fact neither Popp nor Gavotto nor Veres managed to be successful so that coach Velasco even tried Howard in zone 2.
Trento reaches Montichiari in the standings with the second consecutive home success; Acqua Paradiso slows down with its defeat.

VILLORBA (TV) – sisley gets its first 3 poiomts at home braking Perugia 3-1.
Before the start of the match captain A cisolla gave a prize to trevigiana Manuela Secolo as a European Champion. Sisley then went on to win its first set 25-22.
In the second set RPA takes the lead with Kromm and his 7 points (15 in total) and 89% in attack. Thanks to his attacking and Fei’s mistakes Perugia won the set 25-22. On the last point, Cisolla injures his shoulder (suspected sub-dislocation) and gets replaced by Dutch man Bob horstink who will become the match MVP.
With his spikes (71% and 21 hits) and his blocks (2) and a total of 16 points, he braks the balance ana allows Sisley Volley to change the rythm: 25-20 and 25-19 the third and fourth sets.
RENAN DAL ZOTTO (Coach Sisley Treviso): “We changed our work in the week so the team losened up in today’s match. We showed better things thna monday against Montichiari but we still need to work at it. anyway we did need this victory to keep our spirits up after two consecutive 3-0 defeats”.
FRANCESCO DALL’OLIO (Coach RPA-LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “We played with too many pauses even though Sisley was not 100%.
It is a shame giving some phases of the match were going well but they managed to find their winning card in Horstink and we did not manage to do the same”.

LATINA – Gulinelli’s men do well in the first two sets but end up losing them by two points. Modena managed to keep them at bay when at their best and punish them with their serving with Murilo (Modena’s best with 85% attack) and Dennis.
Serving made the difference in the third set too. Gulinelli tries Barbareschi but Giani’s men do not give them the chance to catch them up.

ANDREA GIANI (Coach Cimone Modena): “Winning the first 2 sets by two points witnesses my team’s good shape. I quite liked Latina, it is a shame the championship has now become a mini play off and they do not have the time to fix what does not work as they would like to”.

We started well then, after a few mistakes, we lost our tightness and they were good at taking advantage of it. My boys were great at turning the situation around and in the third and fourth set we controlled the game without any problems. There is a lot to be improved but let’s take it one match at the time”.
