MONTICHIARI – Top challenge for the Monday Night in Montichiari. The first two set have been very tight even if in both of them it is Perugia to win (22-25; 23-25) and leads 2-0, carried by a great Swiderski. In the third set Montichiari handles the game and, thanks a lot of Sala blocks closes the set 25-16. In the first part of the fourth set there is almost only Montichiari in the court with opposite Gavoto (best player) in awesome shape. Then Perugia with a great Lebl is able to tie the score up at 18-18. But at the end it is Montichiari able to win the set 25-23 carried by an amazing crowd. In the tiebreak Perugia goes ahead 8-4. Acqua Paradiso tries to recover but at the end Perugia closes the match by winning the tiebreak 13-15.
Perugia conquers two points and goes back at the top of the ranking with 10 points while Acqua Paradiso wins one point with a total of 8.
Domotor Meszaros (Montichiari): “In the tiebreak we recovered 4 points but we didn’t make it at the end. But we played with spirit and this is important!”
