ROMA – M. Roma wins also its second match against Cuneo. For Rome first match for Osvaldo Hernandez recovered from his hand injury. Good start for Rome: Cuneo made 11errors, especially in attack and Rome wins the set. Then Prandi’s team recover and eventually wins the second set with a great performance of opposite Lasko. Abbadi replaces Giba. In the third set when the score is 21-20 Giba goes back in the court. But set goes to Rome thanks to Hernandez. The fourth set sees Rome break: 14-11 with a great Tofoli. Cuneo setter Coscione is not able to keep up and Rabezzana replaces him. Rome run and Cuneo tries to keep up. When the score is 21-20 Gatin replaces Savani for an ankle injury. Rome closes the set 25-23.

PERUGIA – With Saraceni in the court and Swiderski out for a muscolar injury, RPA-LuigiBacchi.it wins its first home match at the PalaEvangelisti. Always ahead in the score, Perugia run a risk only at the end of the first but Martin Lebl (5 points and 83% in attack) takes the team out of troubles and stop Latina recovery: 25-23. Zanini boys won also the second set without problems. High percentages for everyone: in attack (68%) e in passing (93%), set score 25-19. Vujevic is going better an better, Saraceni well replaces Swiderski and Stokr, especially with his serve (two aces), put Latina in big troubles. At the end Perugia wins also the third set and closes the match 3-0.

MODENA – Cimone wins its first match at the Palapanini 3-0 against Antonveneta Padova, and gets the second victory in a row worthing the first position of the standing. Bagnoli boys win the first set by forcing serves with Sartoretti and Murilo. Padova passing is suffering (26% of perfect passing). Second set sees a reaction of Schiavon boys and be ahead in the score for basically the whole set, But. Sidao score the point when the score is 23-24 for Padova and Giani closes the set 26-24 for Cimone. No story in the last set: Modena reaches +9 (21-12) and eventually closes the match 25-19. MVP of the match: Murilo (11 points) but good performances also for Sartoretti (16) and Rak (11). Pampel and Jago the best of Antonveneta.

MONTICHIARI – In a sold out PalaGeorge, Acqua Paradiso Gabeca wins his first home match of the season. The first tight set sees Macerata scoring the first important break 11-15 that give Lube the chance to close the set 21-25. Nothing to do for Montichiari despite the Velasco double change (Perazzolo-Suxho and Tiberti-Gavotto). Beautiful second set. When the score is 7-6 Bartoletti replaces an injured Miljkovic (ankle). Decisive at the end of the set Meszaros performance (2 aces) and the entry of De La Fuente that closes the set 25-23. In the third set strong start for Montichiari, Macerata fights back especially with Dennis but Montichiari shows a big reaction and close the set 25-21 with a Perazzolo ace. Huge start in the fourth set for Macerata. But Montichiari ties the score up at 20-20. The set becomes a battle, point to point, but at the end is Montichiari that wins it 34-32 with a Veres block.

VERONA – Marmi Lanza Verona does not start well in his first home match at the PalaOlimpia against Itas Diatec Trentino. Verona is behind on the score for the whole first set (9-15, 16-22). Dagioni replaces Gato with Branko Pistovic but the first set is for Trento (25-17). Marmi Lanza starts the second set with Gato back on the court. Pes replaces Boninfante and Gato and Bernardi attacks go better. The score is 15-15, but Lattari boys close also the second set (25-19). Good performance for Nascimento and for Winiarski. Trento gives up in the third set and Marmi Lanza finds eventually its best shape thanks to Biribanti, Bernardi and Gato with Boninfante setter. Verona is ahead 16-19 and closes the set 25- 18. Good start for Verona in the 4th set with Itas Diatec not so good in serving anymore. Trento tries to replace Mescoli with Mlyakov but Verona wins easilly the set 25-17. Bernardi guides all the team and get rewarded as best player of the match with 22 points scored. Still not enogh to give the victory to Verona. A very long tie brek with a bad start for Trento but still able to ties the score up at 16-16, and able to win 21-23 thanks to two lucky Heller serves.
