IN BOLOGNA THE 62TH SERIE A TIM CHAMPIONSHIPS PRESENTATION. ALL THE NEWS OF THE SEASON: THE BIG VOLLEYBALL WILL BE SEEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FIVE CONTINENTS
With a great presentation held in Palazzo Albergati Bologna, the 62th Serie A TIM Men Championship has officially started. Serie A Volleball league invited the 30 Serie A Clubs together with VIP, sponsors and media.
Lorenzo Dallari, SKY Sport vice director, hosted the event that started with Volleyball league president Diego Mosna that talked about the news of the season.
Big applauses for the teams awarded for the last season: Lube Banca Marche Macerata, Italian Champion, Sisley Treviso (TIM Supercoppa 2005/06), Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo (TIM CUP A1 2005/2006) and Salento d’Amare Taviano (TIM CUP A2 2005/2006).
Awarded also with the golden balls: Fefè De Giorgi (Lube Banca Marche) and Luca Monti (Premier Hotels Crema) for best coaches, Dore Della Lunga (Itas Diatec Trentino) and Dragan Travica (Premier Hotels, but with Sparkling Milano this season) for best Under 23, Luciano Gaspari and Francesco Piersanti (best refereesi), Ivan Miljkovic (Lube Banca Marche ) and Roberto Cazzaniga (Premier Hotels) for best scorers of the season.
Great music moments with singer Matteo Satti and funny moments with Dario Vergassola and Fefè De Giorgi jokes.
Presentation also for all the new Volleball League team: all the sponsor, awarded with a origianl shirt by Volleyball League Managing Director Massimo Righi.
The “Milena Pastore” award for best Under 23 journalist has been assigned to Eleonora Cottarelli from SKY. The award has been only the cherry on the cake after the great space granted to SKY, the TV Network that confirmed other three years of Volleyball broadcasting.
In the press conference held after the presentations, all the events and the news of the upcoming seasons have been deeply discussed.
A TV Special about the event will be shown by SKY Sport 2 on Wednesday 6 September at 10.30PM.

NEWS OF THE SEASON
NEW PLAY OFF. In the next 2006/2007 season, the play off matches will be played with the “home match/away from home match/home match” formula for the team better positioned in the standing. The formula will be valid for all the play off phases, also for the Semifinals and Finals for both Serie A1 and Serie A2 Championships.
VOLLEY ONLY ON SKY. Serie A Volleyball League has signed a three contract with SKY Sport for the broadcasting of the Championships and of the Events. SKY confirmed large spaces: three live matches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, a Serie A2 match every monday afternoon with the matches replayed during the week in the afternoon. .
SKY Sport will also show all the Indesit European Champions League matches.
LIVE INTERVIEWS AT THE END OF THE MATCH: A big new for the crowd at the Arenas will be the interview that will be held after the end of the match. The interviews made by SKY will be heard by the whole arena. During the season the crowd can book a question to make for their players.
TV COPYRIGHTS 5 CONTINENTS! Serie A Volleyball league has signed very important deals with TV networkd fo the next seasons. For the first time in the history of the Volleyball, the Serie A1 Championship will be seen in 5 Continents.
Al Jazeera Sport (Middle East and Africa) will cover the next two seasons for the main Serie A1 matches with two matches per week.
ESPN Sport Brasil bought the copyrights for the next two seasons: ESPN will show in Brazil one Serie A1 match (live or not live) per week.
Sport Klub (Serbian TV) has all the copyrights for next season and will show live two Serie A1 matches per week.
Another important new contract is discussed in these days with one of the most important Poland TV Network.
Also, a new deal has been closed to give the copyrights to show the matches via Internet. Serie A1 matches will be seen (only outside the italian soil) through the Bet & Win (www.bwin.com).
So all the countries throughout the whole world will be able to watch the Italian Serie A1 championship.
NIGHT AGENCY. The main news of the season for all the media will be a newletter available to all the accredited agencies with a short comment form the Serie A1 matches and the scouts sent in a text format. The medias will receive a newsletter, regarding all the matches of the day, few minutes after the end of the last match played with informations about injuries and important facts of the matches. The sevice will be added at the Photgallery service for the Media that gives the chance to use freely some shots of a match for every round and the access to the data base of previous rounds and seasons where informations about clubs and players will be available.
PODCASTING WITH LATTEMIELE. News for the www.legavolley.it website, where it will possible to listen the most beatufil matches of this season with players and coaches interviews, through the show “Fuori Banda”, aired from Monday to Friday at 2.20PM on the Serie A Volleyball League official Radio frequences.
SOCIAL STATEMENT. Serie A volleyball League has been the first Sporting League to present his Social Statement project. An ethical choice, with a project that has been prepared for more than one year. The final version of the Serie A Volleyball League Social Statement will be realized during the current season.
ENTRATAINEMENT: Starting from this season it will be possible to play, via internet, with the Serie A1 TIM Clubs.
