TRENTO – Sisley Treviso is the first finalist and now the team is waiting to find out the opponent between Cuneo and Macerata. The two team will play tomorrow game 4 with Lube ahead in the series 2-1.
Sisley starts the game with the whole team at Bagnoli disposal. Trento has to give up Savani because of a feet injury. As libero Itas utilize Trimarchi and Della Lunga replaces Savani.
Good start for Della Lunga in the first set. Then Treviso raise the block, especially with Tencati and the score is 6-13 first and 12-19 after. Treviso closes the first set 15-25.
In the second set, Treviso keeps playing well, but Trento finds back a little trust and fights with determination. The block is missing in Trento and also the second set is in Treviso’s hands for 19-25.
The third set is a different story. Itas Diatec is finally ahead thanks to Andrè and Morsut: 11-6 is the score. Meoni can use better his middleblockers. The set finishes 25-21 for Trento.
Fourth set is very tight at the beginning. Score is 10-11 when Samuele Papi creates a crucial breack that send Treviso ahead 17-21. Trento does not give up and thanks to Kooistra ace and Morsut attacks reach Treviso on the 22-22. Trento closes the set 25-22.
Tiebreack starts with Heller block but Treviso scores the first break and goes ahead 2-5. Treviso seems unstoppable even if Trento is able to fight back and reach 9-11. The set especially thanks to Cisolla stays in Treviso’s hands and the team close it 10-15.
Cisolla said: “We’ve been very good because we kept staying calm after losing the third and the fourth set. Now we are waiting for Cuneo or Macerata. I prefer Cuneo because that will give us the chance to play 3 games at the Palaverde.”
Ryan Millar said: “It has been a great match. We have been able to recover from 2 sets down and that was already like a victory for us. I must say that this has been the most fantastic year for me in Italy. Playing in such an arena has been simply awesome”
