After two hours of authentic sporting battle, Rana Verona comes back from 0-2 against Sir Susa Vim Perugia and goes to the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Final in her debut in the Final Four, at the Unipol Arena in Bologna. The 30 points (with 52% in attack) from a wild Keita and the 28 (with 56%) from Mozic were decisive. Among the Perugians the best is Russo with 13 points with 4 blocks and 91% in attack.

In the first Semi-final of the Final Four there were some innovations (the change of court only at the end of the second set together with the now usual changes compared to the championship, such as the benches in front of the TV, the 15” timer between one action and another and only one time out per set) the two teams offered a show worthy of the final act of the event which awards the tricolor rosette.

Before the starting whistle, the President of Fipav Giuseppe Manfredi and the President of Serie A Volleyball Massimo Righi awarded Stefano Cesare, first referee of the Paris 2024 Olympic Final between Poland and France.

There are several absences in the sextets of the two teams: Perugia, without Plotnytskyi and with Ben Tara initially on the bench, goes onto the pitch with Giannelli to dribble diagonally with Herrera, Semeniuk and Ishikawa in place four, Loser and Russo in the centre, Colaci is the libero ; Stoytchev, who has to do without the long-term patient Dzavoronok (on the sidelines encouraging his team), responds with Abaev-Keita, Jensen-Mozic, Cortesia-Zingel and D’Amico libero.

Agustin Loser (Sir Susa Vim Perugia): “It’s very difficult to talk now: we wanted to get to the Final, Verona played very well but we have to acknowledge that we didn’t do it: we have to continue working in view of the last match of the group Champions League. The season is still long and we have to keep our heads high.”

Rok Mozic (Rana Verona): “I can’t even think about tomorrow, because I’m destroyed: I believed in it until the end, especially after the second set lost like that. We’re enjoying the moment, I still can’t think about tomorrow’s Final.”
