“It’s difficult to take stock at the moment. In the heat of the moment, we are all excited and sorry. We had a fantastic first half of the season, finishing with ten points and placing ourselves in fourth-to-last place. Then, in the second half of the season, we had a decline and we weren’t able to manage the difficulties. At the end, however, we managed to get back on track, winning against Monza and playing a great match tonight, even if unfortunately it wasn’t enough.
This relegation hurts terribly, especially after five years, also considering the promotion. We have experienced incredible battles and equally extraordinary salvations. It is a great disappointment, especially for President Bongiovanni and Dr. Zelatore, who did not deserve this epilogue. This is a relegation accrued by the slightest difference, only due to the number of victories. Now it is right that we all assume our responsibilities. We had a good lead, but we couldn’t keep it.”
